Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed regarding the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service point developed for intervention encounters a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help read more the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
